The Crusades and Inquisition happened centuries ago, can we all just start over?

Why should we be held responsible for something that happened long before any of us were ever born? We've all done something we're not proud of, can we all just admit that until we rid ourselves of our collective guilt, society's never going to improve? There are atheists and religious people alike that want to see a change, and until we put our intellects together and quit bickering over menial things on the internet, the world's going to stay the same. Let go of all of the hatred you hold on to. We're not so different. My R&S forumites, lets make a change today. The pion we use to cut each other down can be applied to building each other up.
