Should we be concerned?

My boyfriend is spitting up bloody mucus. Hes had discomfort while swallowing and its getting more difficult by the day. Hes startin to get continuous headaches that take hours upon hours to get rid of. Should we be concerned? If you think so, please let me know what you think it may be and what I can do to help him.
